It can also serve as a means of payment : using your card to pay for your purchases in our castles will give you access to special offers, discounts as well as Cash-Back (additional credit added to your card). 💰
This card is also the new essential tool to facilitate the work of our reception teams and streamline access to the castles in view of the growing number of visitors.
It will also improve our organization and identify you more easily as a co-Châtelain.
Finally, this card represents a new source of income for the development of our castles.
🪪 11 card levels depending on your number of shares
Your card is nominative. Its color , representative of the number of shares you hold, opens the doors to a range of exclusive advantages and special offers.
🏰 Your number of shares is calculated by adding up the shares you hold in all the castles.
👉 For example, if you hold 1 share in the Château de Boulogne and 1 share in the Château de la Mothe Chandeniers, you have a total of 2 shares and can order the Turquoise card.
Thus, your engagement in each place helps to enrich your overall experience as a member of the community of co-Châtelains.

It is with great pride and pleasure that we launched yesterday the individual premium membership card that has long been requested by members of the community.
This map and its features were created thanks to the extensive feedback we received from all of you following the survey we launched a few weeks ago. We have taken up all of your proposals.
This card is yours, be proud of it and display it proudly around you.
Why a membership card?
First and foremost, it's the first unique collector's item with your name on it that we offer to the community.
This card allows you to proudly display your status as a co-Châtelain.
What is its use for the co-Châtelains?
This card was created in response to your enthusiasm and your feedback following the survey launched a few weeks ago. It offers a number of advantages and features that reflect all your requests:
Allowing you to proudly display your co-Châtelain status,
Identify yourself as a co-Châtelain at the châteaux reception desk and in the online shop,
Access to all the châteaux (and not just the one you've invested in), without queuing,
Benefit from exclusive advantages depending on your status (priority access, etc.),
A payment method with discounts and cashback (extra credit added to your card =>ex: you deposit €100 on the card, we credit you €110),
A secure digital tool for identifying yourself at general meetings and during the various votes that are regularly put to the community.
Why have you created a colour category?
This will enable the teams at the châteaux to easily identify privileges according to the number of shares held, which is currently difficult to do.
The colour of the cards materializes the table of privileges that have been presented since the launch of collective purchasing in 2017.
What happens if I am a share holder with several different email addresses?
Your number of shares is associated with an email address, not a surname. If you have subscribed via several emails, you will have received a communication on each email.
If you would like to standardise your accounts and associated e-mails, please contact our teams. A form for standardising your accounts/emails is currently being created. We will send it to you so that you can complete it.
When will I receive my card and the associated privileges?
The cards will be issued at the end of the pre-order period (which ends at 11.59pm on 30 May 2024). We will then launch the production phase, putting the cards in envelopes and sending them by post. You should therefore receive them during the summer of 2024.
You will be able to benefit from the privileges associated with the card as soon as you receive it.
I am a shareholder and I hold one or more shares, what do I have the right to? Can I still buy shares?
As a shareholder, you benefit from the advantages described in the table of privileges above. If you wish to change levels, you can of course buy back shares. You have until Monday 6 May to take advantage of the €79 share price. After this date, the shares in Château de la Mothe Chandeniers and Château de Boulogne will be revalued at €99 per share.
I am a donor (I have not converted my donation into a share), what am I entitled to? Can I still become a shareholder?
Until now, people who did not wish to convert their donations into shares could not easily benefit from the privileges of co-Chatelains. From now on, the Ebène card will give you access to the first level of co-Chatelain privileges (see table above). If you decide to upgrade from donor to shareholder status, you will be able to enjoy discounts at the châteaux and take part in the major decision-making processes at General Meetings, as well as many other benefits that are reserved for this status. All you have to do is buy one or more shares on the campaign page.
You have until Monday 6 May to take advantage of the €79 share price. After this date, the shares in the châteaux of La Mothe Chandeniers and Boulogne will be revalued at €99 per share.
How much does a card cost?
The card costs €15 + postage.
During this launch period, we are offering the card and associated delivery costs if you subscribe to one or more new units.
If I buy more shares, will I need a new card each time?
The introductory offer is valid for all new units subscribed to on your account until 30 May 23:59.
If you decide to invest in a share for yourself or your minor child, or to buy a share purchase voucher for a relative, you will be able to order this card free of charge using a dedicated form that you will receive in the e-mail confirming your subscription or purchase of a share purchase voucher.
1 card is offered, regardless of the number of shares purchased in your name or in the name of your minor child, or the number of share purchase vouchers purchased.

What other benefits does the card offer?
We are constantly working to develop our tourism offering. It may be possible to use the card to obtain advantages, discounts or a queue-breaker at partner establishments (monuments, museums, hotels, restaurants, etc.).
When will I be able to take advantage of the new privileges associated with my card?
The new privileges associated with your card, i.e. access to all the châteaux and discount percentages, will be available in the summer of 2024, when you receive your card.
In the meantime, you can still access the castle of which you are co-Châtelain and benefit from the 15% discount. A special email will be sent to you as soon as the cards are sent.
How does it benefit the teams at the châteaux and our operations?
With the growing number of visitors (over 30,000 at La Mothe Chandeniers in 2023), it is increasingly difficult to identify co-Châtelains among the crowd of visitors. Identity checks have often created major traffic jams at the Château's reception.
Thanks to this card, our reception staff will be able to identify you in a matter of seconds. What's more, it adds an extra level of security when it comes to accessing your personal data. As a tourist operator, we have a high turnover of reception staff, so we feel it's safer to use this system.
In the long term, we could envisage creating a single entrance for co-Châtelains, where you would simply have to scan your card to pass through the portal and gain access to your châteaux.
Is the card compulsory?
No, the card is not compulsory at the moment. However, we hope that all co-Châtelains will be able to take it, as it will greatly facilitate your access to the Château. What's more, this affordable collector's item could become a major source of revenue for the development of our castles (more on this later).
Without the card, will I lose my privileges? In particular, entry to the château?
No, you retain all the privileges you have acquired through your previous participation(s) (donation or investment).
Am I entitled to the new privileges without taking out a card?
No, the new privileges are only available to cardholders. They include
Free admission to all the châteaux (not just the one you entered),
Discounts on all our products and services (boutique, ecolodges, private tours).
What are the card's features?
We've decided to add a number of features to the membership card to satisfy all the requests made by co-Châtelains in the survey launched a few weeks ago:
Co-Châtelain identity card
Payment card with cashback (extra credit added to your card => ex: you deposit €100 on the card, we credit you €110).
Possibility of reloading online or on site
Do I have to use the payment method function?
No. The payment method function is available on all cards, and you are free to activate it or not. If you decide to activate this option you will be able to receive cashback (additional credit added to your card=>ex: you deposit €100 on the card, we credit you €110), track all your transactions on your dedicated profile and score points as soon as you use it. A special website dedicated to managing your card is currently being developed, and will go online a few days before or when the cards are dispatched.
If I use the payment method, will I be able to track my spending?
Yes, you will have a personal and secure online space where you can track your spending.
How can I top up my card?
You will be able to top up your card and obtain the corresponding cashback directly at the Châteaux reception desk or online from your personal, secure space.
Can I lend my card to someone else?
No, each card is strictly personal.
What happens if I lose my card?
You will be able to buy a new one.
If you have deposited funds on the card and created your online account on your dedicated space, you will be able to transfer the funds to the new card.
I am a co-Châtelain of Château de l'Ebaupinay and/or Vibrac. Is the card for me?
Yes, of course it is. This card is a way of thanking you for your commitment by giving you access to the other châteaux.
I am co-Châtelain of Château de Boulogne and/or La Mothe Chandeniers. Is the card for me?
Yes, of course it is. This card is a way of thanking you for your commitment by giving you access to all the châteaux.
Do I have to get a new card every year? Does the card have a validity period?
There will be no obligation to buy a new card every year.
However, we will be offering a new card design each year, which you are free to buy or not.
There is no time limit for using the card.
What's the point of buying a new card every year?
This membership card, which has long been requested by the community, is also an important source of income for our châteaux and their development.
It allows everyone to make a small contribution every year (€1.25 a month, the price of a coffee 😉 ).
There are now 60,000 co-Châtelains, and that's what makes the community so strong. If everyone renews this small contribution every year, it guarantees a recurring budget of €900,000, roughly the amount needed to complete the work on the Clock Tower at La Mothe Chandeniers.
With this card, we have finally found a sustainable and affordable solution to enable everyone to contribute to the major restoration and development work.
What are the profits from card sales used for?
As with all the income generated by visits, privatisations, ecolodges and the sale of related products, the profits are distributed as follows:
